Located in Birnam, near Dunkeld, this free, new for 2026 garden trail invites visitors of all ages to step into the natural world that sparked Potter's imagination, winding through a landscaped garden adjacent to Birnam Arts Centre. Along the way, you'll discover carved sculptures, storytelling features, carved benches, play elements, and hidden surprises that celebrate Potter's legacy and her enduring love for Perthshire.
The Beatrix Potter Garden Trail is a celebration of Beatrix’s connection to Dunkeld, and Birnam, where the timeless tales and talents of Beatrix Potter began to germinate. Part of the Beatrix Potter Exhibition Experience at Birnam Arts, the trail is a space where gardens, wildlife, art, science, history and imagination all come together.
