ANWB 3 Stars for 2018

We were delighted that ANWB, The Royal Dutch Touring Club, has awarded us 3 stars

Pitlochry & Highland Perthshire

Pitlochry has long had the reputation as one of the finest holiday resorts in Scotland. Located almost exactly in the centre of the country, Pitlochry makes not only an ideal base for a touring holiday but is itself easy to reach, either by road or rail.

Pitlochry has many attractions which are all within easy walking distance of Fonab and there is plenty to keep you busy within a short drive of the town.

Mountain Bike hire is available from Escape Route less than a mile away, or a round of golf at Pitlochry's Hidden Gem course, with the spectacular backdrop of Ben y Vrackie mountain.

Pitlochry Hydro-Electric Dam and fish ladder and the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre, on the banks of the River Tummel are a short walk away and, a few miles further upstream, you'll find the historic site of the Pass of Killiecrankie, the Queen's View with breathtaking views over Loch Tummel and Highland Fling Bungee for the daring, or mad!

Summer sun over touring pitches at Fonab

The Bell's Blair Athol Distillery is a short stroll over the River Tummel from Fonab and gives tours all year round.

Edradour, Scotland's Smallest Distillery open from mid April to mid October is only several miles away.

Trout and salmon fishing, boating on Loch Faskally, sailing on Loch Tummel, tennis, bowling, golfing, putting, hillwalking and pony trekking are all available to the visitor who enjoys the great outdoors.
